| | dorky | ] | It's pretty mint that I'm only working 4 days this week, so really tomorrow is Friday - GET IN!! and Friday is better than Friday because I've got my trip to London. I've planned my day and printed little maps of all of galleries and museums I'm going to and made notes of the nearest tube stations (totally geeky). I'll be arriving in London at Midday and the performance I'm going down to see doesn't start until 7:30pm so in those 7 and a half hours I'll be heading to the Tate Modern, the National Gallery, The British Cartoon Centre, the Imperial War Museum and maybe the Tate Britan too, then I head off to see my all time favourite choreographer - MINT!!
I saw a review of the show that was on last week in the Times(different dance, same choreographer) and it got totally slated, but the fact of the matter is that I'v seen that piece on video before and it's amazing, so I'm not concerned at all by that.
On a slightly different note, I had a bit of a rash on my arm a couple of days ago, then when I got to and took my coat off I noticed it's all over both forearms now, so I have these weird speckley marks all up mt arms-nice |

| | John Martyn - Solid Air | ] | Yikes I've suddenly gone from being the energiser bunny, to being some worn out tesco economy batteries. I looked in the mirror a bit ago and I look like I've been punched in both eyes. It's a good job the frames of my glasses cover the worst bit otherwise people would think I was dead.
I went to the new Phoenix Dance Company show last night with Aisha, the show itself was extremely average as Phoenix always are and everyone totally loves them - I don't get it. Anyway we got free booze (Score!! I love art!!) and it was really good to catch up with Aisha and have a girlie gossip (which will continue on friday with lots of wine and watching Fame).
I'm going to go to sleep now - I don't think anyone in the office will notice - they've had me cutting out love hearts for our special pink and red themed day on Monday - Truely inspired |

| | lethargic | ] | I now have a couple of dance films in the pipeline. One is going to be happening around April time around the themes of Shekina and female Sabbath and purification rituals. The other one that I only found out about this morning is going to be a bit of experimental work out on the Dales, so I'm going to stay at my old lecturers house for 3 days at the end of the month and freeze my ass off in the middle of the countryside. Dead good!! As well as that a film I did last year is showing at a pub in Leeds soon.
Who'd have thought my movie career would have blossomed so quickly
I think I may have drunk to much whiskey at the weekend I feel really dozey, either that or I'm just feeling Monday - it's more likely to be the later. |

| | hyper | ] | Oh my God I'm the most excited person in the whole wide world!!!!! I really cannot contain the massive amount of joy that racing around my body at this very moment.
I came to work this morning to find an email from Salder's Wells in London just updating me on the latest dance performances and low and behold there it was PINA BAUSCH in big bold letters. I know this doesn't mean a great deal to any one else, but Pina Bausch it totally my favourite Choreographer along side DV8 who I'm going to see in June. Anyway in turns out her dance company is going to be in London from the 10th to th 20th of this month - THAT'S NEXT WEEK!!! So I'm pretty poor at the moment, but very kindly Matt who I work with let me book the ticket which is £50 (ouch) on his credit card. I'm going to be a sadsack and go my own, as I would expect anyone I know to part with £50 to see something they've never heard of, but it's going to be absolutely FANTASTIC. I have to take the day off work and it's 2 weeks tomorrow. |

| Me through the eye's of Penny |
[Feb. 1st, 2005|02:59 pm] |
1. Rachel always accessorizes well
2. Trick Me by Kelis because I remember dancing with you to it at the Bassment.. it is blurry, it might have been on my birthday while you were drinking that weird Sheesh Mahal wine and I was totally off my rocker
3. You are the lovechild of Amelie and Barney from the Simpsons
4. Creative
Arg it sounds so corny when I do it!
I'm sure I can't do this nearly as nicely as Penny, but I'll give it a try if anyone feels like being offended by accident

| Brainwave |

| | excited | ] | At last my brain has put itself in gear! I'm not sure what instigated the little brainwave I had last night other than just dancing, but I'm very glad I had it. I came up with a plan to create, teach and perform a piece of work with two amazing people and present it in both a public and education forum and it's really simple. I've contacted two of my friends from uni who I know alone and together can make amazing work and put forward my proposal for this project that should hopefully take place in Leeds/York, Newcastle and Stoke. I'm mega excited, but don't want to give too much away when I don't really know if it'll happen, but either way it's very exciting.
In other exciting news my favourite dance/theatre company have announced the tour dates of their new work and it's not too far away. WOOHOO!! |

| | irritated | ] | There are loads of people at work from either South London or Essex and it's driving me crazy! They have the most horrible accents I've ever heard and say "mate" way too much. One of them is so full of pep it's unbelievable - he's a really friendly jolly character at first, almost in a Dick Van Dyke sort of way (but with a real Cockney accent), but now it's really started to grate on me. He says "Or-White Mate/Matey" about a million times a day. Surely he gets the same response from everyone all day - he certainly gets the same strained smile from me every time he enquires about well-being in his annoying southern manner. I hate to be regionalist and really don't usually have a problem with people based on such petty things - actually that's not true at all, but I don't usually feel the need to voice it in such a wrath filled fashion. |

| | KO Century Beast Warriors | ] | I'm completely lacking that Friday feeling. What's wrong with me? I love the weekend, so why am I not excited. I think I must have suffered some minor brain damage in the past week or so, there's no other explanation for my lack of excitement. My mission for today is - GET EXCITED!
I have good hair today and don't know what I did differently to make it good - my mini mission is to find out what made my hair good |
